At the heart of the instrument lies the exclusive Nebula Cloud Engine — a groundbreaking new approach to generating lively, evolving granular textures. Developed specifically for Zerotone 6, it creates breathtaking ambient layers, organic movement, and expansive soundscapes that continuously evolve, bringing life, depth, and emotion to every note.
Zerotone 6 also features three independent, fully assignable LFOs, offering extensive modulation possibilities for creating movement, rhythmic patterns, evolving timbres, and expressive performances. Combined with a powerful suite of sound-shaping tools and up to 12 simultaneously stackable effects plus the sampled 2 custom chorus types, the instrument encourages experimentation and rewards creativity at every turn.
Of course, Zerotone 6 also includes the beloved Chord Maker inherited from Cassiopeia, allowing you to instantly create rich harmonies and inspiring chord voicings from a single note. Paired with a fully customizable Unison Station, you can effortlessly transform simple sounds into massive, wide, and cinematic sonic experiences.

Sound Palette
Building this instrument wasn't about capturing random sounds from two vintage analog synthesizers. Our goal was to create a truly inspiring and versatile instrument by carefully deep-sampling the fundamental building blocks that make these synthesizers so iconic. Alongside the classic oscillator waveforms, we meticulously captured 10 different pulse-width modulation (PWM) positions from each synthesizer. In Square mode, these can be selected using the dedicated PWM control, faithfully recreating the rich tonal variations of authentic analog pulse-width modulation.
To push the concept even further, each waveform features dedicated Timbre controls powered by equal-power crossfades. These allow you to seamlessly morph between the original waveform, conceptional filtered variations, and uniquely resonant versions that showcase the distinctive character of the vintage filter circuits. The result is a remarkably wide tonal palette—from pure triangle waves and smooth saw-like textures to bright FM-inspired timbres and countless hybrid analog sounds—all created from a single sampled waveform.

The synthesizer's fourth layer is dedicated to Noise & Textures, opening up an entirely new dimension of sound design and creative layering. To expand the instrument's variety, we recorded more than 50 original textures, ambiences, and organic sound sources, each carefully captured and processed specifically for Zerotone 6.
Every texture in this collection was created exclusively for this instrument and is not included in any other SoundsPhat product.
